I had set myself some goals for counselling which were respected and listened to, but beyond that, I was given the time and space to discover and understand aspects of myself that I hadn’t even realised were lost. Following redundancy at work I was diagnosed as clinically depressed and was really at rock bottom, the lowest place I have ever been in my life !!
I needed help and so decided to book some personal counselling/therapy sessions with Rachel after I was recommended her services. Initially I saw Rachel on a weekly basis and then over a 3 month period extended this to every 2 weeks then 3 weeks. I have to say that the sessions were amazing and I looked forward to every one of them as it gave me a focus and an opportunity to really let my feelings out.
Rachel was fantastic, so caring, understanding and non-judgemental and just allowed me to pour my heart out and discuss all the issues and feelings I had inside me. 5 months later I am well on the road to recovery and no longer feel the need to see Rachel although I know that if I am having a bad time I can just pick up the phone and book another session.
I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone who is feeling low or feels the need to just talk to someone that will listen and who will offer coping strategies to get you through difficult times in your life. If it wasn't for Rachel I know that I would not have been able to cope and get through my situation and I seriously doubt that I would still be here today to give this feedback if it wasn't for Rachel!
