About Me
Hi, my name is Rachel.
I am a fully qualified integrative therapeutic counsellor who is a registered member of the British Association Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP). I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling.
I have many years of working and supporting individuals and families in both the private and volunteer sector. This has enabled me to gain a wealth of experience with all different ages on a wide range of many different issues.
My specialist areas include substance misuse and addictions, bereavement and loss, long term illness, palliative care, anxiety, depression and trauma.
Why Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy. It is a process. It isn’t a 'quick fix'. Counselling offers an opportunity to talk in confidence about problems or issues that concern you. It is a therapeutic approach that seeks to help you to explore and understand current or past difficulties. With the help of your counsellor you will ultimately get a better understanding of yourself.

Testimonials
"I have really valued the time spent with Rachel. I was able to talk openly without fear of judgement in our sessions. Each session left me feeling like a weight had been lifted. Rachel has been incredibly encouraging and created a safe place to explore anything I needed to talk through. She has helped me build my self esteem and confidence with myself."
"I had a course of counselling sessions with Rachel, I found her very easy to talk to and very understanding. I'd never had counselling before so didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t understand why I was feeling the way I did but Rachel reassured me and helped me understand that I was justified to feel the way I did. I would recommend Rachel to everyone, through her I feel I’m getting back to the way I was so if your struggling like I was, then please have some sessions".

Understanding Eating Behaviours Workshop
Saturday 15th July 12pm-2pm
Would you like to get a better understanding of the relationship with your eating habits and behaviours?
Want to understand more about the triggers that lead you to eat the way you do?
Perhaps you know someone who seems to be struggling with their eating and their body image?
During this 2 hour workshop, we will explore and help you recognise the differences between lots of different eating issues, such as compulsive overeating, disorganised eating and binge eating. We will also look at body image and body shape, discussing how external factors may have contributed to forming a negative body image, with ways that you can move forward in a much more positive way, accepting the true beautiful you, just as you are.
